The first Citroen C5 Aircross has rolled out of the brand's manufacturing facility at Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The SUV is scheduled to be launched in India later this year.
The C5 Aircross is based on the PSA EMP2 platform. The SUV features funky styling with a split grille, chunky bumpers and body cladding with bright coloured inserts. Inside, it gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV also comes with a panoramic sunroof, hands-free tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control and a powered driver's seat.
Additionally, the C5 Aircross is equipped with Progressive Hydraulic Cushion equipped suspension system that is claimed to provide a plush ride. It also gets acoustic windscreen and front windows, Advanced Comfort seats with memory foam and 3 individually adjustable, reclining and modular rear seats that fold flat.
The C5 Aircross will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 178 BHP and will be offered with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
