Citroen Berlingo MPV spotted testing with 1.5L petrol engine

The Berlingo is said to be used to test components for future Citroen cars.

The Citroen Berlingo MPV was first seen testing in India in August 2019. The car has now been spotted yet again.

It is said that the test mule was powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine and had a 6-speed manual transmission. The car was riding on 16-inch wheels shod with 205/60 rubber. The Berlingo was also equipped with a floating touchscreen head-unit.

Earlier reports had suggested that the Berlingo was being used to test components for future Citroen cars to be offered in India, including a compact sub-4m SUV. It is likely that Citroen's future cars will be powered by this 1.5L petrol engine. But, it is still unclear if Citroen plans to launch the Berlingo here.

In the international market, this MPV is offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 108 BHP and a 1.5-litre diesel producing either 101 BHP or 128 BHP.
