BYD Sealion 7 to be launched in India by Q1 2025

The Sealion 7 will be the Chinese automaker’s fourth model, after the Atto 3, Seal and eMax MPV.

BYD has announced that it plans to launch the Sealion 7 in India by Q1 2025. The electric SUV will be showcased at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo on January 17.

BYD currently offers the Atto 3, Seal and eMax MPV in India. The Sealion 7 will be the Chinese automaker’s fourth model. It’s a four-door SUV with a coupe-like roofline. It has the signature BYD front fascia, featuring sweptback LED headlamps with LED DRLs and flared wheel arches with black cladding. In the rear, the Sealion 7 features wraparound LED taillights connected by an LED light bar, a roof spoiler and a two-tone rear bumper.

On the inside, the Sealion 7 comes with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen and a flat-bottom steering wheel with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV also gets features like electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, 2-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12-speaker audio system, a head-up display and ADAS.

The BYD Sealion 7 comes in RWD and AWD configurations with the choice of two battery packs. The RWD 82.5 kWh variant has 308 BHP and 380 Nm and can cover 482 km on a single charge. The 91.3 kWh battery is available with the AWD variants that have 523 BHP and 690 Nm. Range varies from 456 km to 502 km depending on the variant.
