Toyota has silently introduced the Yaris BS6. Prices start at Rs. 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Prices of the car are said to have been increased and the automatic V and V-Optional variants are said to be Rs. 11,000 more expensive. Interestingly, the G variant still costs less than what it was priced at during the launch of the car.
The sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which produces 106 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. The engine is paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed CVT. The car comes with features like roof-mounted air vent with ambient light, automatic headlamps, tyre pressure monitoring system and 7 airbags.
