BS6-compliant Honda WR-V facelift launched at Rs. 8.50 lakh

Honda has launched the WR-V with BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines. The vehicle is available in two variants - SV and VX, with prices starting at Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Along with the updated engines, the WR-V gets a redesigned grille and bumpers as well as new LED projector headlights. The car also comes with new design 16-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the WR-V also gets minor updates. It comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and automatic climate control as standard. Features like dual front airbags, rear defogger, rear parking camera, driver seat height adjustment and power folding ORVMs are also part of the standard package.

Additionally, the VX trim gets LED headlights and tail lights and fog lamps, a rear wiper, front centre armrest, cruise control, keyless entry and go and an electric sunroof.

Powering the WR-V is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 89 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm @ 4,800 rpm and comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 16.5 km/l. The WR-V also gets a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 99 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The diesel has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 23.7 km/l.

The new WR-V is available in 6 exterior colour options - Premium Amber Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Golden Brown Merallic, Platinum White Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic. The car comes with a 3-year / unlimited kilometre warranty.
