Brought home a Honda CB350: Comparing it to my old Bullet 350

Bike has very good sound and character and the thump is audible till 80kmph in 5th gear, post that you'll hear just wind-blast.

BHPian FireBlade recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

As I said in my last post that I bought CB350 this Diwali. Today went for a long highway ride of around 80kms and here are my few observations regarding the bike especially in comparison with J-Series Bullet 350 which my colleague owns and I have extensive ride experience of his bike as well:

1. CB350 is simply better. In-almost-every-way. Period.

2. My uncle, who was a Police officer, used to own 1987 Bullet 350 CI and compared to that the current J-Series Bullet/Classic is way more refined and lacks that thump. In fact, as I said in my last post that I feel that my CB350 has better thump, sound and character than the J-Series Bullets.

3. CB350 has way better balance on road and would run circles around any Bullet/Classic, all-day-long. I am a Sport Rider at my core and do real high-speed cornering on my CBR, yet CB350 impressed me in-terms of its corner speed. Bullet is no where close.

4. Much has been said about the long gearing of CB350 series. Well, that might be problematic inside towns/cities but out on the open roads, the gearing is spot on and pure bliss.

5. Bike has very good sound and character and the thump is audible till 80kmph in 5th gear, post that you'll hear just wind-blast.

In the end, people will buy Bullets and put Pataka silencers in it but Honda, in my opinion, has cooked a better Bullet than Enfield themselves. CB350 is a pure gentleman's Bullet in a true Honda fashion and so far am loving this experience. It also looks better than Bullet/Classic 350, IMHO.

Now time for few pics. Here is my 'Blade welcoming its new "Royal" sibling
