BMW X7 xDrive40i caught testing in India

The BMW X7 was unveiled at the India Art Fair in New Delhi on January 31, 2019. The SUV has now been seen testing on Indian roads. The car, which appears to be an xDrive40i variant, is seen undergoing emission testing.

The BMW X7 has a large chrome grille up front with slim twin-pod headlights. The front bumper has a wide air dam with gloss black trim and LED fog lamps. The car has wraparound tail lights with a chrome tailgate garnish, roof rails and dual-tone alloy wheels.

The xDrive40i is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine that produces 335 BHP @ 5,500-6,500 rpm and 450 Nm of peak torque @ 1,500-5,200 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

The luxury SUV is likely to be offered in three variants - xDrive40i, xDrive30d and M50d. The lower variants are expected to be assembled at BMW's Chennai plant.
