BMW R 1300 GS India launch on June 13, 2024

The new R 1300 GS replaces the R 1250 GS in the brand’s adventure bike lineup.

BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the R 1300 GS in India on June 13, 2024. It replaces the R 1250 GS in the brand’s adventure bike lineup.

The BMW R 1300 GS made its global debut in September last year. It is powered by a 1,300cc twin-cylinder boxer engine that produces 143.5 BHP @ 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine features BMW's ShiftCam tech and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The R 1300 GS is based on a new chassis that is said to be stiffer than before. The bike features a new Matrix LED headlamp with X-shaped LED DRLs, an adjustable windscreen, a digital instrument console and knuckle guards with integrated LED turn indicators.

The R 1300 GS is equipped with a new EVO Telelever front suspension and a para-lever setup at the rear. It comes with features like Dynamic Suspension Adjustment that can adjust the damping and preload depending on the road conditions and riding style. The bike also gets an adaptive seat height function that adjusts the saddle height automatically when riding slowly or when stopped.
