BMW is adding Android Auto to its cars. It will be available from July 2020 in all cars fitted with BMW Operating System 7.0.
Drivers can connect their Android smartphones to the system wirelessly. In BMW cars, Android Auto can display information in the instrument cluster, Head-Up display as well as the head unit. The system will be demonstrated during the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Last week, we reported that BMW had removed Apple CarPlay subscription fees.
Earlier this year, Google released a new Android Auto interface.
