BMW has launched the long-wheelbase version of the 3 Series called the Gran Limousine in India. The car is available in three variants - 330Li Luxury Line, 320Ld Luxury Line and 330Li M Sport 'First Edition'. The car will be assembled in India and prices start at Rs. 51.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The 3 Series Gran Limousine has a length of 4,819 mm and a wheelbase of 2,961 mm, which is 110 mm more than the regular 3 Series. As a result, rear seat legroom has increased by 43 mm.
On the outside, the car gets LED headlights and twin exhausts. On the inside, it comes with Vernasca leather upholstery with improved padding, newly designed headrests and central armrest between the rear seats. The car has a 480 litre boot with an automatic boot lid. The M Sport version gets a completely handsfree boot lid.
Other features include puddle lights, electrically adjustable Comfort Seats, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, 3-zone automatic climate control with active carbon filters and optimised acoustics for a quieter cabin. It also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as gesture control, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display and 360-degree camera.
BMW is offering the 3 Series Gran Limousine with petrol and diesel engine options. It comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that puts out 255 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,550-4,400 rpm. It also comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that makes 188 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and have three driving modes - Comfort, ECOPRO and Sport.
