Audi Q8 facelift globally unveiled; India launch soon

The Audi Q8 facelift also gets the same set of powertrain options as before.

Audi has given its flagship SUV, the Q8, a mid-cycle refresh. The new Audi Q8 facelift was unveiled at the IAA Motor Show in Munich, Germany and will initially be offered in two variants: Standard & S. The range-topping RS version is expected to be introduced at a later date.

The new Audi Q8 facelift features a number of small yet significant updates. This includes subtle design revisions and a bunch of new features and tech. Starting with the exterior; the new Q8 facelift now gets a single-frame grille with octagonal design elements, a revised bumper design and new high-intensity LED units are now offered as standard - with the optional Matrix LEDs or HD Matrix units with Laser light. The Q8 facelift also gets newly designed alloy wheels ranging from 21 to 23 inches, a revised rear bumper and tweaked OLED tail lights.

Inside, the dashboard of the Q8 facelift remains unchanged from the outgoing version. The SUV continues to feature a virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen display with connected tech and plenty of driver assistance systems.

The Audi Q8 facelift also gets the same set of powertrain options as before. The base 'Standard' variant comes with either a petrol or diesel V6 mild-hybrid engine option, while the SQ8 gets a larger 4.0-litre mild-hybrid V8 turbo-petrol engine. An 8-speed automatic is standard, as is the Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
