Audi has launched the Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron in India. The electric SUV is priced from Rs. 1,13,70,000 (ex-showroom).
The Q8 e-tron replaces the Audi e-tron in the brand's EV line-up. It is available in two variants and two battery options. The Q8 features a hexagonal grille with gloss black surrounds up front, LED headlights, reworked front and rear bumpers and a new 2D Audi logo. The Sportback has a more striking coupe-like design. Audi claims a best-in-class ground clearance of 226 mm.
The Q8 comes equipped with several features and creature comforts. There is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a separate screen for the HVAC, a digital cockpit, a 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen audio system, ventilated front seats with massage and memory function, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera. The electric SUV also gets adaptive air suspension.
In India, the Q8 55 e-tron and Q8 Sportback 55 e-tron is available with a 114 kWh battery pack that powers two electric motors – one on each axle. It has a combined output of 402 BHP and 664 Nm. The SUV has a claimed range of 582 km, while the Sportback can cover 600 km on a single charge.
The Q8 50 e-tron and Q8 Sportback 50 e-tron comes with a 95 kWh battery offering a range of up to 491 km and 505 km, respectively. The electric motors generate 335 BHP and 664 Nm, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/ h in 6.0 seconds.
The electric SUV comes with a 22 kW AC charger, that can charge the battery in the Q8 50 e-tron in 4.45 hours. It also supports up to 170 kW DC fast charging.
