Audi has imported several units of the next-gen Q7 SUV, into India, indicating its launch is just around the corner.
The Q7 has been caught on several occasions in India and we have got a glimpse of its exteriors and interiors.
The cars which are imported wear the 45 TDI badge and are powered by a 2,967 cc, V6 diesel motor, producing 268 BHP and 600 Nm. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with Quattro (all-wheel drive system). Audi might introduce the petrol engine variants in India as well. However, the diesel engine will be the preferred choice here. Audi has also imported the SQ7 (the performance variant) which is powered by a 3,956 cc diesel engine for testing purpose.
The 2015 Q7 was globally revealed in December 2014. Now, it seems that Audi wants to capitalize on the upcoming festive season by launching this car in the Indian market soon. The Q7 has had a successful run in the Indian market especially because of its mammoth dimensions and the sheer road presence it enjoys. Now, with tough competitors from Volvo, Mercedes and BMW, Audi will hope that this next-gen Q7 replicates the success of its predecessor.
