Aston Martin has launched its first SUV called the DBX in India. It is priced at Rs. 3.82 crore (ex-showroom).
The DBX measures 5,039 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, 1,680 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. It has a wading depth of 500 mm.
Aston Martin is known world over for its sports cars. But, the new DBX looks like an Aston Martin should. At the front, it has a familiar grille flanked by vents that have LED daytime running lights around them. The headlamp pods are positioned high up on the upright fascia. The DBX has a coupe-like roofline, while the rear is inspired by the new Vantage.
The SUV has a full leather interior equipped with a 3-spoke steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, panoramic roof, heated front and rear seats, 3-zone climate control, 64 colour ambient lighting, 360-degree camera and an 800-watt, 14 speaker sound system.
The DBX is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine producing 542 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 700 Nm @ 2,200-5,000 rpm. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. The 0-100 km/h time is said to be 4.5 seconds and the top speed is claimed to be 291 km/h. It has 4 on-road and 2 off-road drive modes.
