Are Bajaj Pulsar advertisements promoting rash riding?

The two bikes shown here in wheelie poses look dangerous, unsafe, enticing, menacing and threatening both for the rider and fellow traffic users.

BHPian anjan_c2007 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

A new advertisement by M/s Bajaj Auto showcasing their Pulsar 150 twin disc and the Pulsar 125 Neon, prima facie is in bad taste, contrary to the road safety and biking norms that we follow here in India.

The two bikes shown here in wheelie poses look dangerous, unsafe, enticing, menacing and threatening both for the rider and fellow traffic users.

It can be a bad influence for the youth and others, who could be potential buyers and also for those who already are owners. These biking manoeuvres are not street legal.

Here's what BHPian Shreyans_Jain had to say on the matter:

I don’t see the problem here. If Salman Khan jumps off a building in his ThumsUp commercial, is he encouraging people to do the same?

This is an advertisement. The company is showing the ability of its product, and there is nothing wrong with that. It’s not an advert for a children’s product. And then, even a Splendor or CT100 can pop wheelies.

Here's what BHPian ashis89 had to say on the matter:

Pulsar ads have always been like that, for the past 15-20 years atleast. Even their social media channels have similar ads and videos. But I doubt anyone looks at those ads today. They have created an image and that would continue even if such ads are pulled down.

PS: the most wheelies I see are kids on Activa or Dio.

Here's what BHPian sukiwa had to say on the matter:

Advertisement already contains a disclaimer about stunts even if it's in fine print. This kind of riding also created new breed of Professional precision riders and drivers.

Plus Pulsar advertisements were always in similar style, you can definitely search old magazines for adverts of 'definitely male'.
