Piaggio has released a teaser image of the Aprilia SXR 160. The new maxi-scooter is expected to be launched by November 2020.
The Aprilia SXR 160 was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The teaser image partially reveals the maxi-scooter's front apron with its dual headlamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. The scooter is expected to get a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and will ride on 12-inch wheels.
The SXR 160 will be powered by a BS6-compliant 160cc, single-cylinder, 3-valve engine. The same engine powers the SR 160. It produces 10.7 BHP @ 7,600 rpm and 11.6 Nm @ 6,000 rpm.
Aprilia is also likely to introduce a 125cc version of the maxi-scooter sometime in the future.
