Piaggio has launched the Aprilia Storm at Rs. 65,000 (ex-showroom, Pune). It is positioned below the SR 125.
The Aprilia Storm features twin-headlamps mounted on the front cowl, while the turn signals are placed on the handle bar housing. It has a flat seat and a side-mounted exhaust with a heat shield. It rides on 12-inch wheels. The scooter is available in two colour options - matte yellow and matte red.
The Aprilia Storm is powered by a 124.49cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.52 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 9.9 Nm of torque @ 6,250 rpm and comes paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It features telescopic fork suspension at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. The braking setup consists of 150 mm and 140 mm drum brakes at the front and rear respectively and has a combined braking system (CBS).
