The Aprilia SR 150 has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 65,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SR 150 has thus become the most affordable Aprilia product on offer in the country.
The Aprilia SR 150 was first showcased in India at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, which was held in February. The Italian two-wheeler manufacturer claims that the SR 150 combines the sportiness of a bike and the riding ease of a scooter. The company is manufacturing the SR 150 locally at Piaggio's India plant in Baramati, Maharashtra, making it the only Aprilia model to be produced in India.
The Aprilia SR 150 is powered by a 154.4 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which is borrowed from its Vespa-badged siblings. This engine churns out 10.4 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm.
The SR 150 is now available at Piaggio's Vespa dealerships across the country, as well as the MotoPlex multi-brand outlets in Pune, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad.
