The all-new Yamaha YZF-R7 has been revealed via leaked images, just days ahead of its global unveil.
As seen from the leaked images, the all-new Yamaha R7 features a sporty design. The new middleweight motorcycle can be seen with LED headlamps, a central ram air-intake, fairing-mounted mirrors, a sculpted fuel tank, split seat and a tapered rear end with LED tail lights.
The images also show the motorcycle featuring USD forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension setup at the rear. Braking will be handled by dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.
Yamaha is yet to reveal the technical specifications of the motorcycle. However, the new R7 is expected to carry forward the engine from its MT-07 streetfighter sibling. This comes in the form of a 693cc parallel-twin engine, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Yamaha YZF-R7 is an all-new middleweight motorcycle offering from the brand. It will serve as a replacement for the brand's road-going R6 model which was discontinued last year. The company has scheduled the official unveiling of the R7 on May 18, 2021.
