All-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class production body snapped

As the launch date gets closer, the camouflage gets slimmer and the W213 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been spied, both in the production facility and public road testing with minimal camouflage. No surprises that the new E-Class will look very similar to the W222 S-Class and the W205 C-Class. Mercedes's new design language is more dynamic, but the entire range is more visually conforming.

Based on the modular rear-wheel wheel drive architecture, the new E-Class will have more interior space and will be lighter than the outgoing car, with the weight savings expected to be in the region of 100 kgs. The car is expected to make its debut at the Detroit motor show in January 2016 in its sedan avatar, before a wagon, coupe and convertible are introduced later on. Suffices to say that an AMG variant will also be on offer, which will use the new 4.0L, twin-turbo V8. The car will also get an extended wheelbase variant, which is expected to get the Mercedes-Maybach badge.

Mercedes-Benz India will waste no time in getting the new E-Class here once it has been revealed, since the model is one of the brand's strongest sellers. The car will most likely be launched as a CBU initially before local assembly begins.
