BMW has launched seventh-generation 3 Series in India at prices starting from Rs. 41.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The seventh-generation 3 Series is based on BMW's Cluster Architecture (CLAR). It features a re-profiled kidney grille with new twin-pod LED headlamps on either side. The front bumper has been redesigned and features LED fog lamps. At the rear, the new 3 Series gets L-shaped LED tail lights and a redesigned bumper.
The new 3 Series comes with an updated interior that includes a redesigned dashboard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include a 3-zone automatic climate control system, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers, electric sunroof and Parking Assistant with rear view camera. The 330i M Sport gets Gesture Control. The 320d Sport comes with an 8.8-inch infotainment head-unit without Apple CarPlay.
In India, the seventh-generation 3 Series is available in two versions - 330i and 320d. The 320d is available in Sport and Luxury Line trim levels, while the 330i comes in M Sport trim. The 330i is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 255 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,550-4,400 rpm. The 320d comes with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that develops 188 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. Both engines come paired with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmissions.
The new BMW 3 Series is available in four colour options - Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Mineral Grey (330i only) and Mediterranean Blue (320d only).
