600 HP Jaguar F-Type SVR on its way?

Underpowered - a term no one would use to describe the Jaguar F-Type R. However, it now looks Jaguar is developing a more powerful version of the 2-door and the car is all set to get the SVR treatment. According to the source, the F-Type SVR is expected to produce in excess of 600 HP.

The 5.0L V8 on the F-Type R already produces around 543 BHP. The F-Type SVR will be a product of Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division – which also made the Range Rover Sport SVR and the F-Type Project 7.

Details remain sketchy as it stands, so the body type, transmission or drive wheel configuration options cannot be confirmed yet. However, reports suggest that features like the active rear differential, carbon ceramic brakes, and a carbon fibre aero kit could make their way over from the Project 7.
