5th-gen Toyota Hiace priced at Rs. 55 lakh in India

The first batch of 50 cars have already arrived in India.

Toyota has introduced the fifth generation Hiace in India. The MPV will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The first batch of 50 cars have already arrived in India.

Toyota is offering the GL variant of the Hiace in a 14-seat configuration. The MPV comes with semi-reclining seats and the last row of seats can be folder to increase luggage space.

In India, the Hiace comes equipped with a 2-DIN audio system, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defogger and power-sliding rear doors.

The Hiace is powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 149 BHP and 300 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The choice of colours is limited to just white and silver.
