The fifth-generation Honda City has now appeared on the company's India website, where prospective customers can register their interest.

The new City was unveiled in Thailand in November 2019. Compared to the outgoing car, it is longer and wider, but has a shorter wheelbase.

The fifth-generation City features a redesigned front fascia with a large chrome insert on the grille and LED headlights. It has a coupe-like roofline and wraparound tail lights. On the inside, the car gets a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, twin-dial instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit.

In India, the new City is likely to get a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
