Triumph has unveiled its all-new Speed Triple 1200RR globally. The new motorcycle comes with a half-faired café racer-inspired design and is based on the Speed Triple 1200RS.
In terms of design, the new Speed Triple 1200RR comes with a round LED headlamp at the front, surrounded by half-fairing. It also gets a sleek LED taillight at the back, clip-on handlebars, rearview mirrors mounted on the fairing, sporty seating position with rear-set footpegs. The new Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR is offered in two dual-tone colour options: Red Hopper / Storm Grey and Crystal White / Storm Grey.
The motorcycle also packs a number of electronic rider aids and features, including an electronically adjustable Ohlins semi-active suspension setup at the front and rear. Braking is handled by dual discs up front, and a single disc at the rear, supported by ABS as standard. The motorcycle also features a single-sided swingarm and comes with 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels, shod with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V3 tyres.
Powering the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR is the same 1,160cc three-cylinder engine that is used on the 1200RS model. It produces 178 BHP and 125 Nm.
Triumph has priced the Speed Triple 1200RR at £17,950 (approx. Rs 18.30 lakh). There is no news of the motorcycle making it to the Indian market yet.
