2022 Maruti Baleno facelift variant details leaked

Pre-bookings for the new Baleno are now open. The booking amount has been set at Rs. 11,000.

Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Baleno facelift later this month. According to a media report, the car is likely to be offered in four variants.

The report states that the 2022 Baleno will be offered in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha trims, similar to the outgoing car. A 5-speed manual transmission will be offered across all variants, while the Delta, Zeta and Alpha will come with an automatic transmission option.

As per the report, the new model will be available in six colour choices. These include Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Celestial Blue, Opulent Red and Luxe Beige.

In terms of features, the new Baleno will get a heads-up display and a larger touchscreen infotainment system said to be jointly developed with Toyota. The car is expected to be equipped with 6 airbags and an electronic stability program (ESP).

Under the hood, the Baleno is expected to get a 1.2-litre petrol engine equipped with an idle start/stop function.
