Kawasaki has launched its updated motocross bike range in India. The KX250 costs Rs. 7.99 lakh, while the KX450 is priced at Rs. 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Kawasaki's KX range of off-road bikes has been updated for the 2022 model year. The KX250 gets fully adjustable 48 mm upside-down forks with a new Uni Trak fully adjustable suspension at the rear. Weighing in at 107.3 kg, the KX250 is slightly heavier than the outgoing model.
The KX250 is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 1.4 BHP more than before, thanks to revised intake and exhaust ports. The engine also features a revised combustion chamber and a flatter piston crown. The new crankcase design is said to be lighter than its previous iteration.
The KX450 gets a larger 250 mm rear disc brake and a larger diameter front axle shaft. The bike is powered by a 449cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is paired with a 5-speed transmission. Both bikes get a Launch Control mode, three engine maps among other features.
