Yamaha is set to launch the YZF R15M in India. Contrary to speculations, it's not the R15 V4, but the performance version of the existing bike.
The bike was recently showcased to dealers and images from the same event have now leaked online.
According to the type approval document, the R15M measures 1,990 mm in length, 725 mm in width, 1,135 mm in height and its wheelbase is 1,325 mm. The bike features a new projector LED headlamp with LED daytime running lights that look similar to the R7. It is equipped with upside-down forks and appears to have a new exhaust as well. The bike seen in these images is finished in Yamaha's MotoGP livery.
The R15M is expected to be powered by the same 155cc, single-cylinder engine as the standard R15. The engine will be paired with a 6-speed transmission via a slipper/assist clutch.
