2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift launched at Rs. 29.98 lakh

2021 Toyota Fortuner is now available with a new 2.8L diesel engine that puts out 201 BHP and 500 Nm.

Toyota has launched the updated Fortuner in India. The SUV is available in two trim levels - standard and Legender with prices starting at Rs. 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The 2021 Fortuner gets a redesigned exterior featuring a new grille, headlamps and bumpers. It also gets a redesigned rear fascia with new tail lamp clusters. The SUV rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Fortuner Legender looks sportier thanks to a crisper front fascia with slim LED headlights. It gets a dual-tone exterior with contrasting gloss black surfaces. At the rear, the SUV gets a redesigned bumper and gloss black trim between the tail lamp clusters. The Legender also gets different dual-tone alloy wheels.

Both versions of the Fortuner come with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, connected car technology, 11 JBL speakers including a subwoofer, super suction based seat ventilation system and three driving modes - Eco, Normal and Sport. Besides these features, the Legender gets a powered tailgate with a kick sensor and wireless smartphone charger.

The Fortuner facelift is available with two engine options. These include a 2.7-litre petrol that makes 164 BHP and 245 Nm. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is also offered with a new 2.8-litre diesel that puts out 175 BHP and 420 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The same engine if paired with a 6-speed automatic puts out 201 BHP and 500 Nm. All-wheel drive is only available on the diesel versions. The Fortuner Legender is only available with a 6-speed automatic and does not get all-wheel drive.

The Fortuner is available in 8 colour options - Phantom Brown, Super White, Attitude Black, Avant-Garde Bronze, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, Pearl White Crystal Shine and a new Sparkling Black Crystal Shine shade. The SUV is offered with two interior colour options - all-black and chamois. The Legender comes in Pearl White exterior with a dual-tone black and maroon interior.
