Honda has unveiled the 2021 HR-V e:HEV SUV for the European markets. The new model is expected to go on sale in Europe very soon. The SUV will be introduced in other markets at a slightly later stage as well.
The new Honda HR-V will be globally available with a single petrol-hybrid powertrain. This is said to come in the form of a 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with an electric motor. This hybrid powertrain is said to produce 129 BHP and 254 Nm. The top-spec trims are expected to get an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system as standard.
The new Honda HR-V now comes with larger overall dimensions compared to its predecessors. The SUV now features a larger grille at the front, flanked by LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, c-pillar mounted rear door handles, large alloy wheels and LED tail lights connected by an LED strip at the back.
Inside, the 2021 Honda HR-V e:HEV comes with a completely revised dashboard layout. The cabin features a 9.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment head unit, air-con vents that extend across the width of the dashboard, a panoramic sunroof, a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and more.
There is no word yet on whether the 2021 HR-V will make it to the Indian market anytime soon.
