2021 Fortuner facelift variant details leaked

The new Fortuner is expected to be offered in 10 variants including the new Legender.

Variant details and engine options of the Toyota Fortuner facelift have leaked ahead of its official launch scheduled for January 6, 2021.

The 2021 Fortuner will be available in two trims - standard and Legender. There will be 10 variants on offer including the new Legender.

The Fortuner Legender gets a different front fascia with slim LED headlights. It gets a dual-tone exterior with contrasting gloss black surfaces. At the rear, the SUV gets a redesigned bumper and gloss black trim between the tail lamp clusters. It rides on 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The standard Fortuner also gets minor cosmetic updates including a new grille, revised headlamps and bumpers, as well as a redesigned rear fascia.

On the inside, the Fortuner Legender comes with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Apple CarPlay connectivity. It gets wireless charging, 360-degree camera, lane departure warning system, radar guided cruise control and a wheel orientation sensor.

The Fortuner will be offered with two engine options. These include an updated 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine that makes 201 BHP and 500 Nm and a 2.7-litre petrol unit that puts out 164 BHP and 245 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is likely to be available only in the diesel variants.

The Fortuner facelift will be offered in nine colour options - Super White, Pearl White, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Phantom Brown, Av. Bronze, Sparkling Black and a dual-tone of Pearl White with Matte Black.
