2021 Ducati Monster bookings open in India

Once launched in India, the 2021 Ducati Monster will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple R.

Ducati has announced the start of bookings for the 2021 Monster. Ahead of its launch in the Indian market sometime this month, the 2021 Ducati Monster can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The 2021 Monster is said to receive a complete overhaul, in terms of its design and features, while also being powered by a new engine. The naked superbike now comes with a new aluminium chassis and a glass fibre reinforced polymer sub-frame. This has allowed the bike to shed 18 kg compared to its previous model; it now tips the scale at 166 kg (dry).

In terms of features, the 2021 Ducati Monster features a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, LED lighting all around, three riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, ride-by-wire and many others.

The 2021 Ducati Monster is powered by a 937cc L-twin Testastretta engine producing 110 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 93 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard.

The 2021 Monster gets 43 mm USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. Braking is via twin 320 mm discs at the front and a single 245 mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres with 120/70 and 180/55 profiles at the front and rear, respectively.

Once launched in India, the 2021 Ducati Monster will go up against the likes of the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple R.
