Skoda has released the official brochure of the upcoming 2017 Octavia facelift. The car is expected to be launched in India next month i.e. July 2017. The brochure reveals all the changes that will be made to the car, along with the variant-wise feature distribution.
The Octavia facelift will be available in three variants - Ambition, Style and Stlye+. The entry-level Ambition trim will come with 16-inch Velorum alloys, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps, front & rear fog lamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs with defoggers, a touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink compatibility and dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents. Occupant safety is taken care of by the presence of dual front and side airbags at the front, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, multi-collision braking and rear parking sensors.
In the Style trim, feature additions include adaptive LED headlamps, cornering fog lights, auto dimming mirrors (IRVM and ORVMs), front parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen system, leather upholstery, electrically foldable ORVMs, cruise control, front & rear curtain airbags and paddle shifters for the automatic variants.
The top-of-the-line Style+ variant comes with 16-inch Alcatras alloys, 8 airbags (dual front, side and curtain), tyre pressure monitoring system, LED lighting with 10 programmable colours, driver fatigue alert system, hands-free parking, 12-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and a panoramic sunroof with remote operation.
No changes have been made on the powertrain front. The Octavia facelift will continue to be offered with 3 powertrain options - 1.4-litre TSI petrol with a 6-speed MT, 1.8-litre TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and 2.0-litre TDI diesel with a 6-speed DSG.
