2017 Nissan Terrano facelift launched at Rs. 9.99 lakh

Nissan has today launched the 2017 Terrano facelift in India at a price of Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The updated model gets some minor cosmetic updates and feature additions for added style and convenience, while being mechanically unchanged. This marks the first major update to the Terrano crossover, since its original introduction in 2013.

As revealed by our earlier scoop images, the 2017 Terrano gets 22 new features as compared to the earlier model. The major updates made include a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports navigation and voice recognition, cruise control, electrically operable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and a new dual-tone layout for the cabin. The steering wheel is a new 3-spoke unit with integrated control buttons for the cruise control and infotainment system. The driver also gets a new armrest, while the power window buttons are now illuminated with white backlight. Strangely, the rear AC vents have been omitted on the 2017 facelift.

There is also a new Sandstone Brown colour on offer, in addition to the earlier 5 shades - Bronze Grey, Sapphire Black, Blade Silver, Pearl White and Fire Red.

Mechanically, the 2017 model is identical to its predecessor. Thus, there are two engine options on offer. The petrol is a 1.6-litre unit that makes 103 BHP and 145 Nm of torque while being mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel is offered in two states of tune: 84 BHP & 200 Nm and 108 BHP & 243 Nm. The less powerful tune gets a 5-speed MT gearbox, while the more powerful variants are available with either a 6-speed manual or an AMT.
