2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire - official bookings commence

Maruti Suzuki has announced the commencement of bookings for the upcoming third-generation Dzire compact sedan. The car is scheduled to be launched in India on May 16, 2017.

Interested customers can now register their bookings at over 2,000 Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country. The booking amount has been pegged at Rs. 11,000. Potential customers can also visit the company's official website or call on 1800-200-6392 (toll free) to enter their contact details for enquiries related to the new Dzire.

Built on the HEARTECT platform, the 2017 Dzire will continue to be offered with the same engines that were found on the outgoing model. These include a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder diesel powerplant. There will be two transmission options on offer - a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard on all variants and an AMT unit in the V, Z and Z+ trim levels.

Once launched, the new-gen Maruti Dzire will continue to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and Honda Amaze. It will be sold through regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships.
