2015 Skoda Superb interior revealed!

Skoda has released official images of the 2015 Superb's interior. The B8 Superb takes its design inspiration from the VisionC concept that was unveiled at the 2014 Geneva motor show. The new interior images show the Superb with chocolate brown interior leather upholstery, seats with large flanks for lateral thigh support, door panels with integrated grab handles, a similar steering wheel as the current Superb and restyled AC vents. The instrument cluster on the car also appears to be very similar to the current model - right down to the digital MID in between the speedometer and tachometer dials.

Also seen in the image is the DSG gearbox lever that happens to feature a Laurin & Klement engraving. The feature list will include dual zone climate control and a touch screen infotainment system placed in a piano black inlay. The system will support features such as Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition and satellite navigation with live traffic updates. The parking brake is also button operated, instead of the old school lever. As expected, the interiors share a few characteristic traits with the new Volkswagen Passat.

This is the 3rd generation Superb after the B5 (2001) and B6 (2009+facelifted in 2013). The car directly jumps to the new Passat's B8 platform. The Superb name has sold over 7 lakh units since it first arrived. Skoda chairman - Prof Dr Winfried Vahland hopes the new model will top that number by itself. The saloon gets a 20 mm increase in length, 50 mm increase in width, 80 mm increase in wheelbase and a 625/1760 litre boot (seats up/seats down), which is 60 litres more than the current Superb.

Engine options are said to include 1.6L-2.0L TDI & 1.4L-1.8L TSI engines. The Superb is also expected to get a plug-in hybrid variant that will share its engine with the Passat GTE (154bhp 1.4-litre TSI engine + 107bhp electric motor. Launch expected in 2016)

The new Superb will be officially revealed on February 17th in Prague, while the public debut will take place in March 2015 at the Geneva motor show.
