2 months with my Punch.ev empowered LR: 6 likes & 4 dislikes

The car makes me fall in love my x3 30i every weekend! EVs are great, but you realize what you miss only when you jump back into your ICE car.

I got my Punch ev empowered plus LR 2 months ago as a 'city daily'. It honestly does its job incredibly well. However, before the purchase i gave myself time to grow a thick skin to deal with the 'not so fun' classic tata vehicle traits. So by the time delivery came around, panel gaps, glitchy software and even repainted panels in a brand new car didn't bother me!! Honestly, I expected the absolute bare minimum. So even the pen marks in the seats, the diagonally screwed number plates, scratched ac switch panel didn't make a dent on me!! I was bulletproof, Tata couldn't ruin my day however hard they tried !

Many positives about the car

• The car is absolutely the perfect size for my daily city commute.
• It's loaded to the brim with features.
• Joy of Instant torque, inherent to all ev's. Sport mode is my preferred mode.
• Handles quite well (again my expectation wasn't very high)
• GOLF BAG FITS IN THE BOOT without folding any seat!! ( This was the singular reason behind me choosing this over the nexon. The subwoofer in the nexon made this absolutely impossible.)
• Makes me fall in love my x3 30i every weekend!  What can i say, EVs are great, but you realize what you miss only when you jump back into your ICE car.

Some negatives

• Some really cool tricks by tata. When you go over a pot hole the turn signal comes on. The apple car play will disconnect and reconnect whenever it senses driver fatigue. If you call someone you aren't supposed to, the receiver's name will stay stuck on the digital instrument cluster. I'm expecting newer tricks with the latest software update.
• Steering control buttons aren't the easiest to use.
• I'm not a big fan of "everything touchscreen". I love buttons and miss the i drive that I'm soo used to in the beemer.
• First free service was a joke. They kept the car for a day, didn't touch a thing (didn't even reset service reminder alert) and sent it back dirty as hell. If you thought i grew thick skin before purchase, now I'm wearing an iron man suit !

With all that said, I'm overall quite happy with my purchase. It really does what it was bought for, quite well. If i were a teacher grading tata motors as a student, i would say 'good attempt'!

While the car is fairly good looking, i thought tata went overboard with all the plastic claddings in the doors. I decided to rectify that by painting it the body colour. Let me know what you all think. Cheers!
