1,00,000th MG Hector SUV rolls off the production line in India

MG is gearing up to introduce the Hector facelift, which is expected to go on sale on January 5, 2023.

MG Motor India has reached a new production milestone as the 1,00,000th Hector SUV rolled off its assembly line at Halol, Gujarat.

The MG Hector was launched in 2019 and was the brand’s first offering for the Indian market. The carmaker is now gearing up to introduce the Hector facelift, which is expected to go on sale on January 5, 2023.

The 2023 Hector gets a redesigned chrome grille flanked by slim LED daytime running lights, along with headlamps and fog lights positioned in separate pods on the front bumper. The changes made to the rear include a chrome strip running across the width of the tailgate and ‘Hector’ lettering just below it.

Inside, the 2022 Hector will be equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. More importantly, the SUV will be offered with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The new Hector will be mechanically identical to the outgoing model. It will continue to use the same 2.0-litre diesel, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrains.
