Hi everyone, I’ve been driving my Nexon EV Max 2.0 for about 1.5 years, covering around 10,000 km. I primarily use a 3.3kW charger and have only fast-charged 3-4 times when necessary.
A couple of weeks ago, while driving with my family at 10% charge, I noticed that the battery dropped from 10% to 3% within 3-4 km as I searched for a fast charger. Given it was late at night, I fast-charged up to 25% and continued home. After that, I made a full charge of 100% and drove another 150-180 km without any issues.
Recently, I scheduled a routine service, during which they performed a software update. However, when the car was returned, the battery dropped from 21% to 3% within a few kilometres, so the service centre (SC) driver took the car back. They conducted some battery-related tests, performed two charge cycles, and then confirmed that the battery needed to be replaced.
I’m a bit confused as to what could have caused this issue. I’ve mostly charged my car to 100% unless necessary, and I usually plug it in between 15% and 30%, rarely letting it drop below 10%.
Does anyone have suggestions on what could have led to this failure, and how I can ensure the car runs smoothly in the long term?
