Bajaj has updated the Dominar 400 with a more powerful engine, new features and a revised exhaust. It is priced at Rs. 1,73,870 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The refreshed Dominar 400 gets a full LED headlamp with automatic headlamps on (AHO) function and a new tail lamp. It has a stepped seat and a new twin-barrel exhaust. The rear view mirrors have been redesigned and come with cast aluminium stalks. The bike comes equipped with bungee straps to secure gear during touring. The instrument cluster has a redesigned secondary display, which shows the time, gear position and trip information.
Bajaj has updated the 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Dominar 400. It now produces 39 BHP @ 8,650 rpm and 35 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm. As a result, the power-to-weight ratio has improved from 189 BHP/ton to 214 BHP/ton. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and Bajaj claims that the bike can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.
The Dominar is equipped with 320 mm and 230 mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively. Dual-channel ABS is a part of standard equipment. The bike has a 43 mm upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear.
The updated Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in two colour options - Aurora Green and Vine Black.
