UK: SsangYong Tivoli prices, variants announced

SsangYong has officially announced the prices of the Tivoli compact SUV in the UK along with the details of the model’s diesel engine that would most likely be the motor chosen for the Indian market, if the model is launched here.

The Tivoli is available with a 1.6L, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 113.4 BHP and a 1.6L, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 126 BHP. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission that send power to either the front wheels or to all 4 wheels through an “Intelligent 4x4 system”.

The Tivoli is available in the SE, EX and ELX trims. The Tivoli gets a Macpherson strut front suspension and a torsion-beam rear suspension as standard, while the 4x4 variants get a multi-link setup. The car features an electric power steering with “smart steering”, with normal, comfort and sport modes. The available feature list includes leather upholstery with a red leather pack, 60:40 split folding rear seats with fold down central armrest, adjustable front seat headrests, a height adjustable driver seat and climate control.

Safety features include seven airbags, passenger airbag deactivation, ABS, hydraulic brake assist (HBA), hill start assist, active roll-over protection, four disc brakes, speed sensing door locks, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) along with front and rear parking sensors

Prices in the UK range from £12,950-£19,500 (INR 11.80 Lakh-17.77 Lakh approx.)
