Toyota Fortuner facelift unveiled

Toyota has officially revealed the updated Fortuner. The SUV gets design tweaks and a more powerful engine.

The new Fortuner gets updated front and rear bumpers. It has slim LED headlights with a trapezoidal grille in the centre. The front bumper houses a large air dam and has a silver scuff plate. At the rear, the SUV gets LED tail lights with black trim in the centre. It rides on dual-tone alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Fortuner gets an updated infotainment system which is now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets a digital speedometer.

In the international market, Toyota will offer the Fortuner with a more powerful 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It produces 201 BHP and 500 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV has a claimed towing capacity of 3,100 kg.
