Tata Sierra coming in 2025 in EV and ICE flavours

The Tata Sierra is likely to be offered with pure-electric, diesel, and turbo-petrol powertrain options.

Earlier this month, Tata Motors shared information regarding the launch timelines of the upcoming Sierra EV and its ICE version during the company's investors' meeting. While the Sierra EV has already been confirmed for next year, the ICE version will arrive in the second half of 2025.

The Tata Sierra EV concept was showcased for the first time at the 2023 Auto Expo. The car made a positive impression, not just because of the legendary 'Sierra' badge but also its striking design.

The Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s Gen2 EV platform and use the acti.ev architecture. Technical details of the electric SUV are still under wraps.

On the other hand, the ICE version could be offered with the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that currently powers the Harrier and Safari. Besides this, Tata might also offer the all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit in the new Sierra. It could get an all-wheel drive option as well.
