The first images of what appears to be the updated Nexon have surfaced online. The compact SUV was spotted in Chandigarh.
According to a media report, the Nexon facelift is likely to feature Tata's Impact Design 2.0 design language. However, the same cannot be confirmed through these spy images. The camouflaged test mule has clear lens tail lights and a roof spoiler at the rear. The SUV also has blacked-out B-pillars with grey window trim and black wheel arch cladding.
The Tata Nexon is based on the X1 platform. However, the next generation Nexon is expected to be based on the ALFA platform. According to Tata Motors, the new platform can also support hybrid and electric powertrains. Moreover, the new Nexon is also expected to get updated engines that will be BS-VI compliant. Currently, the Nexon is available with 1.2-litre, turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engines.
