Images of what is believed to be a Tata Nexon DCT have surfaced online. The car was first seen testing in March 2020.
This test mule seen in Pune was not camouflaged but it is said that the car's gear shifts were too quick and too smooth for it to be a manual. In terms of styling, the DCT variant seen in these images has a dual-tone exterior and alloys similar to those offered on the Nexon facelift.
The dual-clutch transmission is also expected to be used in the Altroz and could be offered with the turbo petrol variant.
At present, the Nexon is available with a 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine producing 118 BHP and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 108 BHP and 260 Nm. Both engines are offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual transmission.
