Tata Altroz sets a record; covers 1,603 km in 24 hours

The Altroz did a round trip from Satara to Bangalore and back to Pune in 24 hours.

The Tata Altroz has entered the India Book of Record after covering the longest distance ever recorded by a passenger car in 24 hours.

Pune-based Mr. Devjeet Saha completed a round trip from Satara to Bangalore and back to Pune between December 15 and 16, 2020. The total distance covered was 1,603 km.

Tata Motors launched the Altroz i-Turbo last month. The new variant is powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 109 BHP and 140 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Altroz is also available with a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 85 BHP and 113 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that puts out 89 BHP and 200 Nm.
