Tata Motors has hiked the prices of the Altroz hatchback by up to Rs. 16,000.
The Altroz was launched in January 2020 at an introductory price of Rs. 5.29 lakh. The base petrol variant of the car now costs Rs. 5.44 lakh, while the price of the top-spec XZ Option has gone up Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 7.75 lakh. The price of the XE Rhythm has been hiked by Rs. 16,000.
The price of the base diesel variant remains unchanged at Rs. 6.99 lakh. However, all other variants get a price hike of Rs. 15,000. The top-spec XZ Option is now priced at Rs. 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Altroz is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 85 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 3,300 rpm. It also comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit that puts out 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,250-3,000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
