Skoda's India-specific SUV to launch in Q2 2021

According to Zac Hollis, Director - Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India, an India-specific SUV based on the MQB A0 IN platform will be launched in Q2 2021.

A concept SUV based on this low-cost platform is likely to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The SUV will be launched before the next-gen Rapid.

As part of the India 2.0 project, the VW Group lead by Skoda is investing 1 billion euros in India to localize the A0 platform. The carmaker aims to source 90% of the parts from local suppliers. It is also setting up a new R&D centre near Delhi.
