Skoda Superb facelift spotted testing

Spy images of the updated Skoda Superb have surfaced online. The new model is expected to get subtle styling tweaks.

The test car seen in the images appears to have an emissions testing apparatus installed at the rear. It has a chrome strip on the boot lid and Skoda lettering instead of the circular logo. The car has chrome window trim, chrome insert on the rocker panel, dual-tone alloy wheels and a dual-tone rear bumper with chrome inserts.

Rumours suggest that the Superb facelift could be offered with a BS6 compliant, 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine producing 187 BHP. At present, the Superb is available with a 1.8-litre turbo petrol that puts out 178 BHP and 250 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that makes 175 BHP and 350 Nm of torque.
