Rumour: Tata Hexa to launch in January 2017

Tata Motors was expected to launch the Hexa SUV around this year's festive season. However, the automaker is now reportedly planning to launch it in January 2017. Reasons behind this delay are still unknown.

Recently showcased at an event in Jaipur, Tata Hexa's specifications have revealed that it will be powered by a VARICOR 400 engine that churns out 154 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm @ 1,700-2,700 rpm. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic will be the transmission options on offer. The Hexa will also get multiple driving modes for different terrain and driving conditions.

Once launched, the Hexa is expected to compete against the Toyota Innova Crysta and the Mahindra XUV5OO.
